Story
Jesse is my little bro - and he
drew an Antlered Mule Deer tag this past year (2007). Without much
time to scout, we focused in on a local coulee that had been
generous to us in the past. After hoofing most of the prime areas,
we were nearly at the end of the line. With only a handful of
doe and young buck sightings, we had nearly given up.
This beautiful animal simply stood up from his bed on the far side
of the coulee about 250 yards as we turned the last corner. Luck
was on our side as we had a brisk wind to our faces, masking our
stank and our noise. Immediately we knew he was what we were
looking for. Quick check for safe shooting lanes, and Jess had a
shell in the chamber. He had taken 10 steps down into the bed of
the coulee - one shot from the 30-06, dropped where he stood. After
many pics the real work began.

black and white photograph. We had a good selection of pictures this round
and again extend our thanks to our members for making this first Trophy

picture - and if you have not viewed Cory's videos check them out they
are very well done.
Remember our second Trophy Picture award
