In the area that my family hunts, the Whitetail Buck tag is a general license meaning that there are no special draws you need to enter in order to purchase it. After spending some time filling a few of our other tags, we started to focus on the Whitetail Bucks. Just after spotting a small 6 point, Jesse brought up the fact that he had never taken a Whitetail. After brushing it off as BS, we started thinking back through his hunting history, and sure enough it was true. He had taken many nice Mule Deer over the years, but never the elusive Whitetail. This drove us to make sure the WT's winning streak was over! We spotted this buck on the last weekend of the season for that zone. It appeared as though something had spooked him to come straight over a hill towards us as we waited. A blast from Jess' Browning A Bolt rang out and finally he could say he'd shot his first. Took LOTS of photos from different angles and exposures to make sure that his first was captured on film much better than my first was.
