Story
After 6 years of hunting I wanted
to be able to look back on some of my hunts. I
couldn't get anyone to film for me so, when I was 15
I thought I would try the challenge of filming my
self. Know one actually thought I could do it but I
was determined to at least try. The first year I
only hunted gun and crossbow. After a lot of time
and effort I finally got a hunt on tape. My friends
and family were surprised, not only that I got
action and audio but that it was enjoyable to watch.
I was excited and that gave me the encouragement to
go on with it. I captured a few more hunts on tape
that year then we had to move to Maryland. That kind
of ended the 2005 season early for me. Then the next
year I found out that crossbow wasn't legal in
Maryland. Man that brought a whole new challenge in.
I no longer had hands it seemed! I couldn't let that
stop me though. After a few hunts it didn't seem
that much different then a gun. I got 6 hunts on
film that year. All bow hunts accept one. Then I
made my first DVD (Young Bucks Score Big Game). In
2007 we made a trip back to Ohio to one of my Dad's
friends place for a hunt. That's when I decided to
try
two camera angles. Not only for better
footage but also that people would believe that it
was only really me filming. I could have used my
crossbow but, decided to leave that for ground hunts
only. The first morning I set up. It wasn't long
till I heard noise to my right. I looked and saw
three does. I was hunting for a buck but I didn't
see one in the group. After taking an hour to set up
everything in the dark I decided I wanted to take
something home. So, after getting both cameras
rolling I took the biggest doe. Thankfully the
filming turned out well and the meat tasted great. I
keep trying to improve and try new things every
year. There's know telling what will be next so keep
your eyes out for 2008!
Thanks everyone for your support!
Best regards,
