Every fall Rob and myself start to make bets on when our first ice trip will be. This fall was a little warmer than in years past, so when we decided to try one of our spots on November 15, we were a little worried. As we hiked in the anticipation was building with every step. When we crested the last hill and seen the pond iced over, a little squeel of joy rang out like a 5 year old seeing presents under the tree on Christmas morning. After a few moments of catching our breaths, we slowly and carefully ventured out, testing the ice with every step. Once we knew that there was 5" of clear solid ice, we rigged up and started yanking in the bows. They were eagerly taking most anything we threw down, but the hot lure was a 1/64 ounce pink marabou jig. We were very glad once we got home and checked all the footage. Most of the underwater shots turned out great, and we had alot of good footage to put together a video. Thanks to one and all for watching and stay tuned for more to come!
